About the New Orleans Mission
Known as “Operation Helping Hands,” our mission trip is a program created by the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans to assist the New Orleans community in the process of rebuilding and reoccupying their homes. In the devastating wake of Hurricane Katrina, we will provide a desperately needed service to the people of Greater New Orleans – this year we’ll be helping to rebuild homes, now that the demolition work is mostly complete. Due to the generosity of Catholic Charities, the cost per attendee for this week-long mission is extremely reasonable. We’re hoping that the outcome of this effort will add to the future health of the city and continue to confirm the commitment of the Catholic Church in serving those in need.
Costs:
$300 final deposit (due May 1, 2008)
$50 - $100 spending money
TOTAL cost per attendee for the entire trip: $450
